The TKEP teddy Bear Trip

Okay groovy cats, heres some more details on what we'll be doing to this little teddy bear.

As I've said on the TKEP forum I'll package the teddy up in a small box, with his little passport and a CD-R. On the CD-R I'll put on a little movie and a photo of me (I haven't decided what to do yet). And if you're really lucky (and I can be arsed) I'll stick in a copy of these instructions.

Afetr the closing date I'll contact the first person on the list by sending them a message via the contacts section of the community and ask for their address. Once I've got it the little bear will be winging it's way to them (hopefully on/about 1st June), via airmail.

What to do when you get the package: Open the package and get out the teddy and ensure the little lad is still alive (and stuffed). Take the CD-R and if you've got a CD-R/RW drive add a photo/movie of yourself or whatever you want to it. If you've got a digital camera as well why not take a picture of you and the bear together! If you haven't got a digital camera but you do have a photo of yourself you're willing to lose stick your name on it and pop it in the box instead. Then take his little passport and fill in where he is and when he arrived. It is a passport after all (You can get 50 extra bonus points if you can get imigration to stamp it for you!).

What next: After you've done all that above, carefully repackage the bear in it's box (unless it's too destroyed, in which case, please replace it) and contact the next person on the list. The list will be in the order of the people who replied on the forum, so it might mean having the bear travelling backwards and forwards around the world (and why not, he might break a record), I'll also have the list here as well in case you get confused, you never know, it might go in the box too. Anyway, contact the next person via the community messaging system and send the package on.

But what happens if I'm the last person on the list: Simple, contact me and I'll give you my address and you send the bear to me.

Then what: I'll put all the pictures/movies/whatevers on a special page on my website that we can all look at.

The important stuff again, simply.

What'll be in the package?: The bear, a CD-R in a case, a little passport, an instruction leaflet(?) and the list of people(?)

What do I do?: Put a photo/movie/stuff of you on the CD-R or a (labeled) picture in the box if you can't. Just remember, nothing rude/offensive please.

Stuff?: Yes stuff! You can add a picture of you or you and the bear, a short movie of you or even an audio track of you, hell anything, but it must be a recent thing featuring you.

So I stick it on the CD, what do I call it?: Whatever you add label it up as your TKEP logon name. I.e. anything I add will be called Steg. Just don't use anyone else's name!

Can I add other things to the package?: Sure, just remember the heavier that parcel is the more it's gonna cost to send. If you wanna stick a private letter/photo to someone then fine, just seal it in an envelope and stick it inside, but nothing to heavy, especially if they're a couple of hops on. Oh yes, nothing illegal please, this bear is not a drug dealer.

How long can I keep the bear for?: Hmmm, a week max. please. Remember even airmail takes it's time to go across the world. The less time you have it the better.

How do I contact the next person?: Via a message in the community section of TKEP.

But what if I don't hear anything from them?: Try again, give it a week and if's theres no response let me know then contact the next person on the list.

How do I send the package?: Airmail please, I know it's gonna be expensive, but it is quicker.

But I'm scared of giving out my home address?: You can use a school/uni/work/parent's work address. As long as they're happy with it and it doesn't take six months for you too collect.

And when we're done?: I'll have the bear back and stick all the pictures/movies/stuff on a special page on my website for you too look at.

I wanted to do it but I didn't get my name on the list. Can I ask someone to send it on to me?: Hmmm, No! A lot of people will have waited for that bear and I don't like cue jumpers. Send your name to me and if the list is short I'll add you to the end of it. But... you have had two weeks to sign up to it.

Have I?: Yes. The closing date for the list 30th MAY
